EPOCA Constructions Pty Ltd is committed to continually planning and implementing safe work practices into the daily operations of our offices, workshops and project sites, so that the risk of injury to people or damage to plant is eliminated or controlled to an accepted level, which is As Low As Reasonably Possible (ALARP).
Our approach to safety is based upon communication, learning, vigilance and continual improvement.
To achieve the objectives of our policy, EPOCA Constructions will ensure:
• Our health and safety policy and procedures are communicated to all employees and other relevant parties to enhance the awareness of the health and safety in the workplace.
• Effective health and safety risk management procedures and practices are in place and being followed.
• Our performance against objectives and targets is measured and reviewed with the goal for continual improvement.
• Promotion throughout the organisation of our work practices aimed at the elimination of work-related injuries and illnesses.
• All workers are suitably qualified, competent for the tasks they are to perform and trained in safe working practices.
• All our employees understand their roles and obligations under the Workplace Health and Safety Act.
• All employees are encouraged to actively participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
EPOCA Constructions has established and maintains an occupational health and safety
management system based on statutory legislation, Australian Standards, current best practices and our Clients expressed requirements. The system including documented safe working procedures are regularly reviewed to ensure that they are current and identify areas for improvement.
